Early Life and Career
Mr. Hussain Katipalla was born on 2nd July, 1960 to parents P. Mohideen Beary and Khathijamma at Kanna, Suratkal. He completed his school education at Jilla Panchayat higher primary school. He couldn’t afford his further education due to his father’s death. He was the only bread winner of the family. Mr. Hussain Katipalla went to goa to take over a goods business which belonged to his late father. He worked in goa for 3 whole years and went to Middle East to chase his dreams. In the 1981, he started working at Lahood engineering works as a rigger. As a kid, Mr. Hussain was very fond of writing. He used to write small poems and articles. In the year 1984, he returned to India and started a hotel named Adarsh in Baikampady. In the meantime, he started writing stories which were published in Sanmarga weekly paper.
He also wrote several stories for Udayavani, Mungaru, Kannada Jantharanga and Prajavani. Unfortunately, he had to close down his hotel due to certain factors and started a new hotel at Surathkal in 1991. In the year 1992, he went back to Goa and started working as hotel manager. Later on, in the year 1997, he started the lines sales marketing business. Writing was his passion and he never let it go. He wrote several songs and articles and started a cassette store.
Mr. Hussain Katipalla published his first book named Hussain Katipallare paatunga. He also wrote other books such as Birundha, Moilanji, Adhyakshara Rajiname Kannada Kathasangrama. Later on, he published a paper named Nilau. He also released cassettes named Beary Bayla, Beary Masaley, Chedil, Changayi, unjaal, Nikah, Thalakh, Kondata, Kammane and a drama named Mahasabha. Mr. Hussain Katipalla worked for over 100 cassettes as lyricist and a singer and souvenir includes Payana volume 1, volume 2, Sampadha and Spandhana. He is also an editor for the popular newspaper Beary Vartha. He conducts TV programs every year on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr. Presently, he is the owner of Print city (printing press) and National pest control.
Social concern and contributions
A man of social concern, Mr. Hussain Katipalla believed that politics was the key to serving his community. He is an active member of Beary Sahitya Academy and working committee member of Muslim Lekhara Sangha. He also serves as the general secretary for Kendhra Beary Sahitya Parishit. He is also the convener of Beary Sahitya and Samskritha Sangha and Beary Kalaranga.
Interests
Apart from being a hardworking Artist, Mr. Hussain Katipalla takes pleasure in reading, cricket and carom games.

For his exemplary service, outstanding dedication, relentless effort, and selfless commitment to his vision of a greater, empowered community and nation, Mr. Hussain Katipalla has been on numerous occasions felicitated by reputed organizations as well as the Government to recognize and promote among the society a man who is one of a kind, Mr. Hussain Katipalla.
