Mohammed Sultan Beary is a Human Rights Advocate and social worker committed to providing legal aid to the downtrodden and weaker sections of society.

Early Life and Career

Mohammed Sultan Beary was born on 31stJuly 1987 at Kundapura to parents Sheikh Abbas Beary and Kunji Fathima. Having completed his school education at Koteshwara High School, he pursued his higher education at Vaikunta College of Law and SDM Law College. Raised in a village, Mr. Beary was fully aware of hardships villagers endure. During his Pre-University education, he would assist his brother in his business. While doing so, he met a lot of people from various areas. A prompt supporter of education and social work, he began visiting remote areas and started serving people whenever possible.

He came across talented students who were in need of financial assistance. Sultan contacted NGOs and donors to channel funds for the same. After graduating from SDM Law College in the year 2011, Mr. Sultan Beary started working as a Human rights Advocate at Bangalore. He noticed that there are many innocent people who are getting arrested due to several factors and are not able to defend themselves due to financial and other problems. He had a serious urge to help them.

In the year 2016, he started Preamble Law Chambers at Bangalore and is presently working as an advocate.

Social Concern and Contributions

Advocate Sultan Beary is a man of social concern. He always had a desire in him to work for the society. Mr. Sultan Beary is not labelled as a part of any specific organization but is involved in activities held by different organizations. As a part of his Human Rights Activism, he visited several cities and villages across India and met a lot of intellectuals from the National Law school of Bangalore. He attended various national seminars to gain further insight on the law and people. After an extensive and exhaustive research, he found that the education system of D.K. District lacked a lot of important content and that the curriculum was very outdated, attributing students being unable to clear competitive examinations due to a substandard curriculum.

Mr. Mohammed Sultan Beary also conducted several blood donation camps and worked on wildlife rescue operations. His philosophy in life is to serve society at any cost, in the best possible way. In the year 2014, Mr. Sultan Beary conducted a Campaign for the renowned Mr. Abdul Naser Madani and started an alliance for the protection of human rights and justice. He helped the famous scientist Mr. Ejaz Mirza and journalist Mr. Mutiur Rahman who were falsely accused.

Interests and Associations

Apart from being a hardworking professional, Mr. Mohammed Sultan Beary takes pleasure in reading, exploring nature and travelling. Reading is one of his favorite hobbies, referring to books as his ‘friends’. He opines that in India, religion is a major part of life, and his study of various religions helps him broaden his perspectives.

Quoting his role models, he says,

“Don’t wait for a leader, do it yourself” – Mother Teresa.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice” – Martin Luther King.
