S B Mohammed Darimi

S.B. Mohammed Darimi is the Khatheeb of Mulki Central Shafi Juma Masjid, a religious leader, and social worker.

Early Life and Career

S.B Mohammed Darimi was born in 1969 to parents Sheikh Kutty and Alima at Suribail (Bantwal). He completed his higher primary education in Bolanthur Higher Primary School. He was more interested in religious education and joined Abdul Khader Madhani’s Madrassa in Vittla to pursue his religious education. Further, he got admitted in Dharul Salam Arabic College run by Shamsul Ulama E.K Aboobacker Mussliyar. He also worked as a personal Khadhim of Shamsul Ulama. After pursuing his Darimi Degree in the year 1992, he worked in various masjids across Kerala and Karnataka.  He started working as an Imaam in Kumble Town Masjid and went on to work in Malikdeenar Kendhra Juma Masjid Uppinangady for around 20 years. Later on he worked in Puttur town Badriya Juma Masjid for 5 years. Currently he is working in Mulki Central Shafi Juma Masjid.

Social concern and contributions

He is a socially concerned, renowned scholar and speaker. He strongly believes in secularism and social harmony. His brilliant thoughts and ideas had a huge impact on the religious Ulamas which led to improvement in social responsibility among the public and the Ulamas. He is the founder president of Kalander Education Center, Arasinamakki. He works as a secretary in Alenerenki Nafisathul Misriya College. He also worked as a chief editor for Al- Ahsan Magazine. S.B Darimi is the state president of Darimi Ulama Okkoota and former president of Sunni Yuvajana Sangha.

Interests and association

Apart from being an ideological thinker, S.B takes pleasure in reading novels and books. He loves to speak for various religious platforms. He also participated in several T.V debates regarding issues of the present generation and is a renowned writer and columnist.
